Auschwitz Birkenau Memorial

Auschwitz Birkenau is a concentration camp located in southern Poland and was one of the largest of the Nazi concentration camps with over a million prisoners. The majority of those who died at Auschwitz were Jewish people, but also included Roma (Gypsies), Soviet Prisoners of War, Poles, and others. Today, Auschwitz Birkenau is a memorial and museum to honour the victims of the Holocaust.
