One of the most popular tourist destinations in Poland is the Royal Castle in Warsaw. This imposing structure was originally built in the 14th century by King Casimir III. Another notable castle in Poland is Wawel Castle in Krakow. The imposing hilltop fortress was built in the 10th century by King Mieszko I and has been rebuilt and remodelled many times over the centuries. It’s now home to a museum, art galleries, and the royal apartments of the Polish president.
Malbork Castle is another popular Polish castle, which is located on the banks of the river Nogat in northern Poland. Construction began on the Gothic fortress in 1274 under the rule of the Teutonic Knights, and it soon became one of their most important strongholds.
